What is an Accent Lamp?

An accent lamp is a smaller lamp which serves to softly light a small area. An accent light might be more decorative, where the light is used to illuminate the parts of the lamp. Usually the brightness of the bulb is lower, producing a softer atmosphere. They can work well as a night light and help you to relax in gentle comfort. Place them on a shelf or mantel, in a window, on top of furniture or near the bedside. Beautiful accent lamps also make for a great gift.
